A young white pregnant mother was hacked to death on Tuesday in South Africa as she lay in her bed next to her husband and toddler.
Karen Turner, 31, who was three months pregnant when the two armed intruders brutally attacked her family at 3 am.
Husband Matthew, 33, was stabbed multiple times as he lay beside his wife at the Hluleka Nature Reserve in the Eastern Cape province of the country.
Karen was a school teacher in Underberg, about three hours west of Durban. She died almost instantly in a hail of knife blows while Matthew managed to fight back.
The pregnant mother’s unborn child was also murdered in the frenzied attack. Her 2-yr-old son Hayden who witnessed the entire attack survived and wasn’t physically injured.
The attack comes just days before Prince Harry is due to fly into South Africa with his wife Meghan and son Archie.
They are taking their baby son on tour to visit Harry’s “favourite place in the world”. A place where Caucasians are frequently targeted and brutally murdered for their skin colour.
