Twitter reinstates Avi Yemini after #FreeAvi campaign

by Avi Yemini

A mass #FreeAvi campaign to have my ‘permanently suspended’ Twitter account reinstated has been successful. I am back.

Two days ago, I was banned from the social media platform for breaching their “manipulation and spam policy” following my tweet criticising Greta Thunberg’s parents for child abuse.

My suspension sparked a worldwide #FreeAvi campaign that was trending in Australia for almost 24hrs.

It worked! Thank you.

Twitter has today reinstated my account. The social media giant has not yet provided any further clarification as to why my account was initially suspended.

I’m sure that soon enough, I’ll be de-platformed for good. So if you want to keep up to date with what I’m doing, be sure to subscribe to the TR News mailing list.

Again, thank you all for having my back. You won this.
