Jeremy Corbyn Speaking At A MEND Event

The Muslim Engagement And Development (MEND) organisation is looking to organise the Muslim vote. MEND Extremists And Their Marginal Democratic Jihad

Fight In The Way Of Allah

Surah 3. Al-i’Imran, Ayah 28

Let not the believers take the disbelievers as friends instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped by Allah in any way, unless you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allah warns you against Himself, and to Allah is the final return.

The Quran prohibits Muslims from having disbelievers as friends or comrades. The Quran tells Muslims they are NOT to support disbelievers, that is unless there is a BENEFIT for Muslims to do so.

The tafsir of Ibn Kathir breaks down the verse, contextualises it, and then delivers its message in a more straightforward form. Ibn Kathir explains what Allah meant:

Do not take Allah’s enemies as friends because they will cause Muslims to stray. Any Muslims who stray from Allah by siding with or making friendships with unbelievers will be discarded (UNLESS Muslims fear a danger from them) meaning, except those believers (Muslims) who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers.

In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’Ad-Darda’ said, “We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.”

MENDing Nothing, Breaking Everything

Azad Ali is a former director at MEND, and he has a CV that links to many notorious extremist organisations who have sympathies with Islamic terrorists and Islamist organisations. Below is a video of Azad (speaking to members of UK Islamist organisation CAGE) complaining about how difficult it is to pray for and praise jihadists.

MEND has come under quite some scrutiny over the years, and that scrutiny is totally justified. MEND are “Islamists masquerading as civil libertarians”. Emma Fox from the Henry Jackson Society produced a brilliant report on MEND back in March 2018.

She said:

“MEND officials have expressed support for terrorists, promoted anti-Semitic conspiracies and been intolerant to minority Muslim sects. They are unfit to be partners in highlighting prejudice or in promoting social cohesion.
The IAM campaign exploited genuine concerns about Islamophobia in order to bolster MEND’s legitimacy and provide a platform for its extremist partners.
Most faith, community and charitable groups work tirelessly to combat bigotry without fostering grievances to generate distrust and intolerance. It is time that MPs, the Police and civil society recognised MEND for what it is and denied them the legitimacy they crave.”

Islamists Empower Apologetic Political Parties

We published an article a few days back about MPACUK and its terror-supporting founder Asghar Bukhari. We provided details on how MPACUK are utilising the Muslim demographic vote to gain Labour more seats in the General Election. We very briefly touched on MEND in that article too which you can read by clicking HERE.

MEND are wolves in sheep’s clothing, make no mistake they are an Islamist terror-supporting organisation with links to extremists left, right and centre. Perhaps that is why Jeremy Corbyn likes them so much? MEND use the cloak of civil liberties to appear respectable, but once you scratch the surface that varnish doesn’t look so good after all. MEND is pushing very hard for the Government to adopt the definition of Islamophobia which will give Islam and Muslims a special kind of protection from legitimate criticism. It would also force the Police and the CPS into charging and prosecuting more people who dare to express their human right to freedom of speech. You can read more about that HERE and HERE.

MEND Manifesto

MEND Manifesto

MEND has always been outspoken about the Governments PREVENT strategy and have even advised Muslims not to help the Government weed out radical/extremist Muslims. They have defined the Islamic school “Trojan Horse” affair as an “alleged controversy” while race-baiting for sympathy and extra privileges because Muslims “feel” forced to work ten times as hard as their white counterparts. Perhaps you can see why Jeremy Corbyn has courted this Islamist organisation and spoken at one of their events. You can read the MEND manifesto by clicking HERE.

MEND just as their Islamic brethren at MPACUK are utilising the Muslim demographic to turn “marginal” seats over to a political party that suits their agenda. MEND has compiled a list of fifty-one “marginal constituencies” that they believe can swing seats over to the likes of the Labour Party. A Labour Party they hate inwardly, but outwardly they appear friendly and welcoming, only because the dhimmis of the Labour Party are a necessary means to an end. Labour is a political force that provides advantages for Islamists at this moment in time.

How Far Does This Cancer Go?

Azad Ali, apart from his clear Islamist links and support for terrorism, is also the Vice-Chair of Unite Against Fascism (UAF) which you can find by clicking HERE.

Azad supported the killing of British troops, praised al-Qaeda ideologue Anwar al-Awlaki and said that:

“Democracy, if it means at the expense of not implementing the Sharia, of course, no-one agrees with that.”

Although he was caught out making these comments, he did not lose his IT Civil Service job at “the treasury”, but then again he was at that time the president of the Civil Service Islamic Society.

You can read more about that HERE and HERE.

“Conservative” Baroness Warsi has also spoken at a MEND event, and she has worked with Azad Ali in the “All Party Group” which hopes to push legislation through defining “Islamophobia”. If that is ever successful, it would give Muslims greater protections from criticism and impinge on the right to free speech.

Perhaps in quranic terms, members of MEND see themselves as Muslims who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers? Maybe, in this case, MEND believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly.

Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing for they are organised, can draw on activist support, and they are politically connected. Worse still, their growing demographic does pose a serious threat to our democracy. Former counter-terrorism police chief Mark Rowley said:

“Leaders of MEND have claimed the UK is approaching the conditions that preceded the Holocaust seeking to undermine the State’s considerable efforts to tackle all hate crime and making an absurd comparison with state-sponsored genocide.
One of MEND’s former leading figures lost a libel case labelling him as “a hard-line Islamic extremist” in the context of comments he made supporting the killing of British soldiers in Iraq”.
