Hong Kong looks like a War-Zone

by Avi Yemini

Hong Kong has been in a state of protest for over six months now.

The physical signs are everywhere; bricks pulled out of the sidewalk, MTR entrances burned and shut, even traffic lights are almost non-existent.

The government is trying their best to patch up where they can, but as I experienced, things as simple as crossing a road have become all more difficult.

As a former combat soldier who has witnessed firsthand the devastation of war, I’m telling you Hong Kong looks like a war-zone.

Protesters will not give up, but Hong Kong cannot get “patched up” forever.
