WATCH: This is the clear choice Hong Kong faces TODAY

by Avi Yemini

Today Hongkongers are exercising their very limited right to vote for their local district councils. Even though elected council members hold minimal power, Hong Kong voting rate is at a historic high.

Pro-democracy protesters see this election as a referendum, demonstrating the will of Hong Kong.

WATCH what happened when I interviewed two opposing candidates running for the same seat.

The candidates:

  • Andrew Chiu is the incumbent pro-democracy candidate who was recently attacked by a “Mandarin-speaking” man on the street, resulting in losing his ear.
  • Kacee Ting, who was recently filmed intimidating pro-democracy citizens.

Election results are expected later tonight.
