YOUTUBE was under-fire yesterday after censoring the popular channel of a right-wing commentator and video maker, Black Pigeon Speaks.
The popular channel that was launched in 2011 had over 56 million views and over 480,000 subscribers.
It was the latest in a long line of attempts to silence the right by deplatforming and defunding notable right-wing channels which receive huge audiences online.
The channel was notable for anti-Islam content and had many videos challenging the multi-cultural ‘takeover’ of Britain.
YouTube said: “This channel has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy prohibiting Hate Speech.”
The ban was met with immediate backlash on Twitter with notable Alt-Media figures backing BPS.
Brittany Pettibone wrote: “Black Pigeon Speaks, who had a YouTube channel with approximately half a million subscribers, has been permanently BANNED by YouTube. ” She urged users to follow him on Bichute.

Paul Joseph Watson said:
“When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you fear what he might say.”
He also slammed YouTube for its clear censorship and ‘cyberbullying.
Deplatforming is cyber-bullying. You are removing people's livelihoods and entire body of work which they spent hundreds or thousands of hours creating.
This dude did nothing wrong. Restore Black Pigeon Speaks.

“The day after Black Pigeon Speaks made a video warning that independent voices were being “silenced – relentlessly, pathologically and ruthlessly” by Silicon Valley, he is banned by YouTube for no reason,” added Watson.
YouTube later restored the channel following the backlash, but it’s still a clear sign that YouTube is cracking down on anyone who doesn’t toe the leftist line.
Black Pigeon Speaks followed up with a thank you for everyone who supported the reinstatement of his channel. Perhaps you would care to re-tweet?
